How to Find Us

The village of Limpsfield nestles under the North Downs between the A25 and the M25 motorway. It is documented in the Domesday Book of 1086 and its name is pre-Saxon. Today Limpsfield is a conservation village, with many of the houses in the High Street dating back to the 15th century.

St Peter's Church occupies a site on high ground above the High Street at the north end of the medieval village. There was certainly a church on the present site at the time of the Norman Conquest, but the existing building dates from the end of the 12th century.

Today the chuch forms a vibrant part of Limpsfield life. Visitors are always welcome Come and join us in a church service, come to one of the many concerts held in the church, or just come and look round the church and churchyard, where musicians such as Delius, Eileen Joyce and Thomas Beecham are buried.

For those visiting us by train St Peter's is a twenty minute walk or five minute taxi ride from Oxted station, which is on the London Victoria to East Grinstead line. Trains generally run at half-hour intervals during the day.

Motorists may like to get their directions to St Peter's using the journey planner opposite. If you are coming by motorway Limpsfield is only a short drive from M25 junctions 5 and 6.

We look forward to meeting you!
